The lighthouse on the extreme end of the cliff forms the northernmost spot the colonists have explored yet. Beyond that point there seems to be an eternal bad weather zone, with massice clouds darkening the horizon and perpetual lighting shattering the sky. Patrols are advised to not go any further than the lighthouse, regardless whether they travel in airships or on the ground. Instead the lighthouse is used as a turning point for the airship patrols and sometimes as a shelter for the scientists who want to study the Furrywhales. These creatures seem to be attracted to the lighthouses beam, rising their furry heads out of the water and singing to it in choirs up to several dozen specimens.
